Do you have a special talent or interest that you would like to share with the Pittsfield Youth Workshop? Are you interested in helping us out at our special events and fundraisers? There are a variety of opportunities available to lend a hand at PYW.
PYW is always looking for volunteers to come down during Drop-In hours and provide new activities and challenges to our youth participants. Other volunteer opportunities include assistance with fundraisers, special events, office work, general maintenance, or any other skill areas in your personal or professional background that you think could benefit our program. We look forward to working with you!

Unable to volunteer at the moment? PYW always accepts donations from individuals and organizations throughout the community. We have become what we are today through generous donations of electronics, office supplies, games, appliances, food, and a host of other items. We have also been fortunate enough to receive monetary donations from supporting community members. The following is an ongoing list of items that we currently need. We would be grateful for anything you would be willing to give.
Paper Goods & Cleaning: Toilet paper, Napkins, Storage and Freezer bags (all sizes), Hand and dish soap, Bathroom air fresheners, Bathroom cleaners, Clorox Wipes, Hand Sanitizer,
Food: Popcorn, Healthy Snacks – Individually Wrapped (granola Bars, cheese crackers, etc), Drink Mixes (lemonade, fruit punch, iced tea), Baking Mixes (cake, brownies, muffins, etc.), Pizza Supplies, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Pasta and Sauce, Chocolate Chips, Vegetable Oil, Flour, Sugar, Powdered Sugar, Brown Sugar, Spices, Chocolate Syrup, Fruit Juices, Pudding, Marshmallows, Cereals, Cooking Spray, Milk, Butter, Margarine, Eggs, Bread, Fruit and Vegetables (small amounts so they don’t go bad), Cheese (slices, shredded, parmesan), Ice Cream, and Popsicles. If you don’t see something on the list, please feel free to call ahead and check to see what our current needs may be.
Office Supplies: Paper (copier, white-lined, construction, colored poster board, white poster board), Highlighters, Permanent markers, Dry Erase Markers, Erasers and board cleaner, Scotch tape rolls (for a dispenser), Stapler and staples, Envelopes, Stamps, Glue Sticks, and anything else you think would be helpful!
Drop-In Supplies: First-Aid supplies, Pool Sticks, DVD’s (PG-13 and under), PlayStation 2 games, Wii Games, Nintendo Switch Games, Clear heavy duty containers for arts and crafts supplies (all sizes), Extra large containers for camping/sporting goods, gift cards, gas cards, also check out our Amazon Wish List!
